• The FibreShape user meeting 2017 included a Training Day. The user meeting offered presentations about the development and history of FibreShape, about different applications of the FibreShape system, sample preparation and norms of fiber characterization.

  The participants of the Training Day worked in groups which allowed the participants to learn from each other. Discussing, exploring the software together, asking questions and getting direct feedback were some of the benefits. We had 4 work groups with 4 to 5 group members with the following main focus: Flock fibers, natural fibers, carbon fibers and diamonds (working with DiaShape).

   
  Are you interested to test your FibreShape or DiaShape skills? Here some practical exercises for you to work with your FibreShape or DiaShape system.

  • Flock fibers: Set a shape filter so that only straight flock fibers are measured
  • Natural fibers: Set a shape filter so that only curved fibers are measured.
  • Carbon fibers: Set a shape filter so that only the carbon fibers are measured without dust.
  • Diamonds (DiaShape: Set a shape filter so that only square diamonds are measured.
